One of my favorite memories of Bob was his first trip to Toledo Bend Lake to visit Ginger’s family back in the 1990’s. He caught this bass on a very old plastic worm that belonged to our Dad on his first cast! It weighed 7lbs. 11 oz. and Dutch( Ginger’s Dad)wanted to ban him from the lake. As time went on the fish grew to 11lbs. 7 oz. when Bob told the story. Since then, being welcomed back many times, he caught many more fish including a 30 lb. catfish. Toledo Bend was one of Bob and Kathy’s favorite places to visit especially in these last few years. Sitting on the back porch looking out at the lake, drinking a beer and telling stories was one of his favorite things to do.
